The thesis is an affordable roadster that would sell for about $20,000, which would be very easy to build in a flexible manufacturing environment.
I am pretty excited about this. Can't wait until production to hear folks' reviews. I probably wouldn't buy one until it's been on the market for a few years so I could get it for $10k or less.

Thoughts?

very nice design- pontiac just simply does't ring my bells. i'm sure that if they stick to that design it will be a hit. i always wondered about that ecotec engine...

The ecotec engine i hear is pretty tough. The Lingenfelter drag cavalier uses one and puts out over 1000hp. The Summit racing cav ran a best of 6.993@197.67

It's an "ugly chick" but I'd still hit it.

I also like the smart roadster BRABUS...I think this is coming to the USDM.

3-cylinder suprex turbo engine (698 cc) with charge cooler
Electronic power management
softip - automated sequential 6-speed transmission
Weighing in at just 60kg
Mid engine/Rear wheel drive
Attached Thumbnails I haven't seen much at all in the way of I-clubber's enthusiasm for the Solstice-roadster_brabus_image.jpg
