The "I hate boost leak" thread.

I hate it!

I hate how you hear a frickin whistle and it intrudes into your inner soul.

I hate how you have to take hours and hours to pull things apart to tighten them again.

I hate how you can't tell you have a boost leak until you drive your car and put it into boost.

I hate it that after you tighten everything you have to then take it out on the road to get it into boost...then you hear the whistle again and can't work on the car again because now it's all hot.

...anyways, today I retightened everything in the boost path that didn't involve taking off the IC or going under the car...only had a couple hours before an event tonight.

Tomorrow, I'm pulling the IC and going under...la la la la la la la la

^^^I'm hoping that's not my problem.

I tightened everything under the car today. Still leaking. However, both of my UP gaskets are fairly new and good quality.

I'm thinking that it's the DP gaskets because the ones I got with mine are pretty hokey.

The dp gasket wouldn't cause you to lose boost. It would be wierd noise if there were a leak but it's after the turbo so it doesn't matter.

Yeah I don't feel like I'm losing boost. Well at least my VERY SENSITIVE booty can't feel it.

However, without a boost gauge I guess I'm up **** creek. Guess I may have to go pick one up.
