2 sti's with the same cusco suspension exact same tires and power mods, can act like 2 totally different cars. tuning is very important and i suck. just 1 small thing can make a world of difference. haha.
power doesn't necessarily mean easier faster times, it can also mean getting your **** in more trouble.
people who bomb their car with mods shouldn't be frowned upon, they should be encouraged for it is they who are testing out the new baller stuff for the rest of us to see what actually works.
the best way to compare driver skill is to drive the same car, so drive your car get a good time and then switch cars with someone else and see what they can get and what you can get.
money does usually equal fast, but that assumes that the people racing have at least a decent amount of skill to even begin comparing results.
anyone wanna switch cars this sat? it is fun and can only help....unless you or the other person crash. my favorite line that i have been told......
"uuhh barry, it's not going to be easy to go fast it because it doesn't have as much power as your car"
my answer, nah it'll just be easier to drive fast because i won't get into trouble now since this car is so weak.......
i was right even with the mx6 driver riding along.

Ok,
one more try. Saying you don't need a brake duct is like not needing an oil cooler or a more efficient radiator. It depends on how aggressively you drive. Farid and Egmar (sp?) both suggested brake ducts. Mike was chasing me when I cooked the Motul. Personally, I made brake ducts for $20 that allowed me "threshold" braking and cooler temps. I will be upgrading to an aftermarket oil cooler and radiator also for the same reason. It increases my margin of safety. Were you the guy with the large yellow WRC sticker kit running 20+ lbs of boost on the stock turbo that came over to help another install a catback?

I'm
going to setup a new kit for silver satin and myself. It will be as cheap $ wise. I have the Cusco Ver II lower arm brace that I'm going to mount the air intake to. I will need to check out the undercarriage of your car (and silver satin's) to see the best place to mount certain pieces.

Nope,
doesn't matter. Think about it, your brakes are getting wet when it's raining, and any water going into the intake of the brake ducts will just exit as drizzle at best, unless you're doing river crossings. If you're doing river crosssings, your calipers are already underwater.
