k i can already tell you that sears pearlridge sucks! i work at sears and for the most part they are one of the best places if you have a problem, as long as it's not pearlridge. for the guy with the tv that had it fixed 3 times, was it in the first year or after a few years? did you get a protection agreement on the tv? if you did then if it breaks 3 times in the first year they will give you a new one. also sears will take back itwms up to like a year but they will charge a "usage" fee but it's minor and still better that other places. if you guys wanna buy something come see me or if you have bought something from sears and are having a problem let me know. sears will do just about anything within reason if you put up a fight. btw we got some nice sony stuff in so come check it out. personally if i was gonna buy a tv bigger than 32" it would be a DLP either samsung or mitsubishi. best bang for your buck and won't break the bank. Couple o' walkmen
Discman
PS2

On a side note, I will never buy anything but Koss headphones. I've only had two pair since I was 15. I'm 25 now.The first pair was on sale for $9.95, and lasted till I was almost 21. These headphones were what kept me company on my daily bicycle rides to and from work all through HS and into college. They saw hard use.
I'm still abusing the secong pair, though I felt comfortable spending considerably more money on the second pair....like $60 more. My only complaint about the new ones is that the pads on the phones are wearing out...the old ones were earmuff style. The hardware is still solid.

I bought that first pair because the headphones that came with my Sony walkman broke within 6 months.

Half the stuff I've bought of Sony's broke. I try real hard to stay away. I baby my electronics, and so far I've been real disappointed with Sony in general. The repair service here sucks ***, the 2 things I brought in took over a month to repair.

Broke:
2- 900Mhz phones (died)
1- Digital 8 camcorder (eats tapes)
1- dolby/dts receiver (no sound)
1- dvd player (fixed under warranty)
1- vaio notebook (no video)

Still working:
1- 32" TV
1- vcr
1- clock radio
1- cd changer

Updated! My stupid top of the line Sony VCR (SLV-960HF) just ate it (literally).

Fooking thing has an error code on the display and according to the service department it will cost almost $300 to fix...

So the Sony deaths for me are 7 of 10! woopee!

yea their digi cameras and crt tv's are about the most reliable things they make. i wouldn't buy any of their bigger projection or plasma tv's. too much $$$ and most of the displays we have had that are sony crapped out after a little while with the exception of the 70" xbr, but who has $8k to spend on a tv? not me.
