No deals on Subies for a while? The dealers tell me that the impreza line is selling like hotcakes off the lot. I don't see as many imprezas on the road as civics, so under what standards is it selling like crazy? Again, one tactic to feel the urge to buy the car now.
Just checked edmunds and found that hawaii has about a $1K regional adjustment and a higher transport fee, which pretty much brings the price close to MSRP.
If I can get a TR for 24700 + fees/tax, and maybe throw in an option or two, would that be acceptable?

Just put a deposit on a 2006 WRX TR. The negotiated price was 24140 + tax/fees.
If you take the delivery fee off, its well below the MSRP so I guess that's a good deal. Gotta wait almost a month for it to get here though...

I got my 05 Outback Sport from them i spent three hours with them. They wanted $25,000. The only thing I said for those three hours are "No" and "Give me the keys to my trade in." Oh even if you have a pre approved loan they will try to make you go with their financeing. Do not worry they will give in....... I got my car for $18,600 and kept my trade in without their financing. The sales men aren't bad it is their Boss.

By all means, get that ADM (arrogant dealer markup) off. It's not mandatory, and very negotiable. I did pretty much everything that the carbuyingtips.com had, and it worked. I might have been able to squeeze a couple hundred more, but it wasn't worth the time and energy at that point anymore.
Well, this guy I know will stalk the dealership for months until he gets every single penny out them, but that's not my style. If you really want the car, a couple benjamins is not a problem as long as its not a total rip off.
Hopefully, the car gets here soon, and post some pics!

Yes I do miss Schumann Waipahu. Bought my 04 Sti from Chris Morley for 30k out the door. I suggest you all drive down to Waialae Subaru and talk to him (he took over Waialae after Schumann Waipahu closed). We all know Pflueger is known for excessive markup. Anyone remember how much an Acura Integra GSR/Type-R cost in the 90's?
