Exclamation hotels/motels or holiday inn- a thrifty place to stay

Aloha

i have some random questions that are mostly aimed towards the people of hawaii...

im planning a trip and i'd like to stay in Oahu (or anywhere in Hawaii) - but the thing is..im 18 and their age limit thing to rent a room is 21. is there a way to go around that?

what other places can i stay besides the hotels/motels?

how much does each night cost?

I have more questions but i can't remember them at the moment so i will probably post them up later..

By the way..Im a Noob when it comes to traveling..
thanks

aloha

-note: Moderators: i know this thread should be in the random thoughts but my questions is in regards to the islanders.
thanks

I used to work in the travel industry for 4+ years, so if you have specific hotel questions, shoot me a PM. I would browse hotels from sites like expedia or travelocity to get a general idea of what your looking for. IF you don't mind where your staying, I can vouch for priceline.com. It was way cheaper then our "Kamaaina" (local) rates on hotels the last time I stayed in Waikiki for Holloween. I also used it the last time I stayed in San Diego and the price I got was about $50 cheaper then any other booking sites, including directly via the hotel.

^^^ your best bet!
can't offer anymore...
if you are okay with roomates- hostels are pretty decent... assuming you have good roomates- plus they are cheap.
not sure if there are any, but try a bed and breakfast as well.

either that or hook up with someone from i-club... and pay rent!

i did most of my research on expedia and it said i had to be 21 plus or accompanied with a guardian.

i haven't done any searches on priceline.com yet..but i will now..
