Holy crap noise at stage II

I just did my pde flex up-pipe and cobb catless down pipe. Im getting my tune on sunday. But right now its crazy loud the exhaust sound and turbo spooling is loud. So I had my guys weld in a Borla resonator.

setup is kinda like this avo drop in>pde flex up>cobb catless down>borla resonator>greddy SP2

any ideas how to make the exhaust quiter, I do enjoy the turbo spool sound. but Im trying to build a sleeper.

lol....i know what you mean about the sound of stage 2. although i'm enjoying it right now, i am also considering toning it down a little. does ESH have a high flow cat that they can install? or do i have to buy another catted dp?

yup, i got the same questions...i was happy with the low rumble (not loud) of my hks hi-power/megan racing tbe set-up but it kinda gets annonying if you go to a garage structure and trigger everyone's car alarms...=) ...i think i will go with a catted dp and go from there...

I'm surprised that those mods are making you think its too loud.

To me it sounds like it'd be pretty soft.

You might want to try the Borla Hush exhaust or even the stock exhaust.

Either way, you're not gonna be stock quiet with all those mods...you removed 3 catalytic convertors plus the Greddy Exhaust is slightly louder than stock. Just be happy that you don't have a TurboXS RFL....now that's loud.

k if your oing true sleeper then your really limited. i mean those huge exhaust cans give it away right off the bat. i say if your already tired of the loudness then go get a QTP dp and pt your stock exhaust back on. otherwise put in the silencer up your cars @$$ and you'll be quieter.

I recommend the APS 3.5 and an external wastegate for the ultimate quiet car.

for stage two u can use the sti stock exhaust, with your dp. I had that on my wagon and it was flowing well enough for the cobb stage II tune

I've seen that more than I expected I would. People seem to really like it. The downpipe is really the thing to replace. I don't think the STi exhaust (cat-back) can be that restrictive.

honestly the cobb is one of the quietest i have heard. if you think that is loud get someone with a Nur-Spec to drive next to you and you will appreciate the exhaust not being so loud.
