I agree with thunder_sti......There won't be enough parking for everyone......finding parking on a sunday afternoon at magic island for over 35+ i-club cars is mission impossible.... is there another park we can host the BBQ at????I would hate to see i-clubers forced to leave because they couldn't find parking.......As for me,I down for wherevers....

Josh.....I have a another question......

(Quote Taken from The City And County Of Honolulu Transportation Services SCHEDULE OF MAJOR PARADES AND STREET ACTIVITIES):
November 27, 2005 Sunday
-10:00AM Starts
-11:30AM Ends
"MARTIN WAREHOUSING TOYS FOR TOTS CARAVAN sponsored by Martin Warehousing & Distribution. The event is expected to have 200 vehicles. It will start at Magic Island Parking Lot, to Ala Moana Park Dr., to Ala Moana Blvd., to Kalakaua Ave., to Monsarrat Ave., end at Paki/Monsarrat Lot. Contact: Jeff Cadavona 696-4589"

Are we apart of this caravan????Your Itinerary exzactly follows the same time and route as this caravan.....if we are part of this.....then theres no need to worry about cops in waikiki because I believe this event will be police escorted through waikiki.... At my job, I was given a warning about Kalakaua being close for this event.....

The driver's meeting is at 9:45am sharp. I just got a message (on Tuesday) from the guy that organizes it every year.

In my experience, if you guys want a spot at Magic Island where everyone parks together, you should get there before 9am....just my $.02 since we've been doing this for 6 years...

Agree, need to find a remote location not in town... Magic Island is always crowded...

Josh, call me to discuss again.

Perhaps Kakaako Park would be better...at least it can handle a lot of cars.

Also, I SAY NO to going to Ala Moana for that meet up...it'll be way too crowded...but we will take advantage of that little window of time to go through Waikiki

Going along with what Joey said. If you don't plan on getting to Magic Island before 9am you may as well skip that stop. I think last year we just rolled out from Kakaako around 10ish and drove directly to the dropoff. We also used the same plan as one of the other large clubs (forgot which) and split into 3 groups going out the three different side streets from Kakaako. This allowed most of the group to stay together (somewhat). I'm pretty sure Blake was also involved and remembers that plan.
Two years ago there was a police escort so we arrived at Magic Island early and rolled out together after some of the other clubs.
I hope to make it since this may be my last cruise in the STi.

Goodluck to you guys. I dont think that we will be out there this time. The notice has not gone out to any of us.

If you guys decide to split into separate groups exiting Kakaako...remember that the last group HAS to move first to block the roads so that the next group can move out in front of that group. And if you guys can, bring 2 way radios. VERY handy in keeping in touch on what is happening and for the leaders in directing the groups around.

There will be a small change in the itinerary regarding the final spot for the BBQ. We will be heading back to Kakaako and cruise it there .
