You got your WBO2 workin' again?

Grats on the DD! I don't know anything about it. You'll be teachin' me.

I'm about to find out tonight.

If not, it will be a little longer.

I figure the DD will be delivered buy like Wed. You can join me in learning it. After tonight, if I find out the WB isn't working, I'll start to troubleshoot (read: call Sean) and replace what ain't working.

Just so I don't screw it up again, could you walk me through the steps of hooking up the gadget? All the way from plugging it into the cold dp to making passes.

Gracias

I think you had a second bung welded in so you might do things a bit differently, but here was my procedure:

1. Remove rear o2 (completely from car).
2. Install NTK wbo2 sensor.
3. Run cable from o2 to control unit.
4. Run cable from control unit to display.
5. Run power cables to battery.
6. Start car - let idle for ~5 mins.
7. Drive car and watch display until readings react to throttle input.
8. Point video camera at display (or have Wes do it)
9. Do a run from 3k rpm to redline in 3rd gear.
10. As the revs climb shout out the #'s in .5k rpm increments (35, 4, 45, 5, 55, 6, 65, 7)
11. Stop the car. Review the tape. Make changes to the fuel table in the UTEC.
12. Rinse/repeat.

FYI: I tuned for 10.9-11.1 throughout the rev range. YMMV.

AFR's are NOT smoothed so you will get bounces. That's to be expected.

Good luck!

Note: You will NOT want to have car running until you apply power to the wbo2 controller. This will foul the sensor in short order. Always have power to the unit before starting the engine so that the heater is operational.

P.S. Don't do this on open roads. You'll be blitzing WAY past legal speed limits regularly (3rd gear @ 7k rpm = 95+ mph). Wish we had a darned AWD dyno on island - would make this procedure CAKE.

I'm sure you know this, but AFR depends on boost - so set your boost first.

Hey, when you say remove the rear o2 completely, you mean so I can replace it with the UEGO? Remember, the only reason I have two bungs is because I messed up the first one. The only bung I've been using for the WB sensor is on my dp.

I hope I'm not misunderstanding you as far as the rear one. I've never taken it out (although I think that it's more than likely shot)

I didn't have any extra bungs so I had to remove my rear o2 and replace it with the NTK sensor. Good luck!
