According to El Jeffe the turbo'd foresters are already on island. Can't wait to check them out.

I almost left the lot with a silver, 2.5 w/ a TD04 turbo'd, automatic, $27,000 Forester.

$27,000? Hell no.

Maybe they'll be a little more open to haggle when I get back in August (or maybe Subaru will have the STI wagon out on the streets)

It is a sweet ride. Between my Explorer and my wagon, the body roll isn't that bad. It is maneuverable.

It is quick. It's interesting to drive a 2.5 w/ a TD04. The torque is more or less already there, and when the turbo kicks in, it's very noticable. No kick, but still nice.

It's roomy and it seems like the interior is put together with quality in mind. 7 speakers, cold-*** A/C.

A few other things y'all might not realize, but the clutch in it (I don't know if it's for manual and auto) is anti-hill-roll, if that makes any sense. Also it has the variable timing.

Ed says that the block is the STI block. It has the same yellow injectors. Now, I just wonder if the tranny in the 5spd is any good.

Jeff & Nino,

If you see this, please square me away. Hopefully, I'll have internet out in the woods of NY state, and I'll be able to keep track of how things are going back here.

As soon as y'all get a silver 5spd Forester in, you've got to PM me. I want that car pretty bad, and I'm afraid that my wife won't go down and get it.

Gracias
