Hey GT Owners. . . .

have you done the 30k maintenance on your ride yet? I called Servco Subaru Service department and was quoted $690 to do everything. Now I think that is a little too steep for my budget. I was wondering what you guys did and where/if you took your car to somewhere else?

I could do the oil change, the wheel rotation, coolant flush, and those other little things myself. I would actually take it in to do the transaxle flush cause that is a little more extreme.

but anyway, I would like to know what you guys thought.

Thanks!

I had mine done at Pflueger Subaru Waipahu in Aug 2006 (obviously before Servco entered the Subaru arena) and paid $329. My invoice isn't fully itemized, so I can't be certain of all of the services that were provided. Surely there must be a discrepancy between what Plueger did for my car & what Servco will be doing with the rate they quoted you.

Is that price just an estimate?

When I had Servco change my transmission & differential fluids (I know, I know... I should have learned how to do it myself!), they quoted me $300 but actually charged $186.

My experiences with the Servco Service Dept have been excellent to date.

Sorry to hijack, but do they honor the "Wear Item Warranty"?
Cause when I asked they said no.

They did my 15k before I bought it.

Not up to it yet, but was thinking of going in until you mentioned the price. OUCH!

Yeah, i forgot the guys name I talked too but he seemed nice. All he said was that covers "everything". I have no idea what that entails but it still seems pretty high.

I just talked to my service department and they said they do cover wear item warranty. Which is a very limited warranty and it also has to meet the qualification of the limitied wear item warranty.

I did my 30K myself on the GT. Wasn't hard at all. Changed the diff fluids and flushed the radiator. As for brake fluid, i usually flush that when i do trackdays so its basically new. I think they rotate your tires and check your hoses (you can do this yourself too).
