so Jess remember when that cylinder wasnt firing? the valve was bent some how and there was no compression in the cylinder. the head of the valve snapped off and killed the head a piston

BKR6E plugs?? Those are some hot plugs. Why not go iridium and a step colder? BKR7EIX to be exact.

I predict a hole in your piston, probably a cracked top ring land and scuffed cylinder wall. So sorry to hear Dave.

Hey Dave! That's pretty messed up! I feel your pain Bro! I had that happen to me when I had my 74 Corolla. Head of the valve broke off and was stuck in the piston. Funny thing is though, when I pulled the piston out, there was no damage to the cylinder walls.

nah the 6 heat range is fine for a vf39, it wasnt from knock or det. after we did the swap for some reason that cylinder wasnt firing and before we could do a leak down this happened. my guess was the valve was bent from the crash the car was in before and the head broke off from that.

yeah it kinda sucks, but i had already written that engine off, i though the timing belt broke so i already have an extra set of heads and i also have a built ej22t block so its all g.
ill take some pics of the head and post them up tonight when i get it off

whats weird is that engine was hit on the passenger side but yet the issue was on the driver side
