hey 4080, engines out good news and bad
well engine is out and started to take it apart.
huh weird the tensioner didnt let go... what could have happened
drained the oil and no spun rod bearing... lets take the heads off and check,
huh one of the plugs felt really weird coming out.
can anyone tell me whats wrong with the last plug??
couldnt get the cam gear bolts on that head off so gave up for the night
here is a look down the intake port.. why can i see the piston where did the head of the valve go?? dont look good im scurd to take the head off tomorrrow

BKR6E plugs?? Those are some hot plugs. Why not go iridium and a step colder? BKR7EIX to be exact.
I predict a hole in your piston, probably a cracked top ring land and scuffed cylinder wall. So sorry to hear Dave.

Hey Dave! That's pretty messed up! I feel your pain Bro! I had that happen to me when I had my 74 Corolla. Head of the valve broke off and was stuck in the piston. Funny thing is though, when I pulled the piston out, there was no damage to the cylinder walls.

nah the 6 heat range is fine for a vf39, it wasnt from knock or det. after we did the swap for some reason that cylinder wasnt firing and before we could do a leak down this happened. my guess was the valve was bent from the crash the car was in before and the head broke off from that.

nah the 6 heat range is fine for a vf39, it wasnt from knock or det. after we did the swap for some reason that cylinder wasnt firing and before we could do a leak down this happened. my guess was the valve was bent from the crash the car was in before and the head broke off from that.
