Did you ever hit boost? This could be a over boost CEL. So like I asked before do you have a......
Do you have a boost controller?
Do you have a boost gauge, if so what was the boost around when this happened?
You are going to make boost sooner with your new up & down-pipe. It would have been easy for you to over boost if you didn't adjust your boost.

is the cel still on and/or still in limp mode? since you already resetted already, reset one more and see if its still there. if its still on with a solid cel, try start the car a few times and then see if its still there.

if that doesn't work then...the only thing i can think of right now is that your egt sensor fried(if you put the sensor in your uppipe) but thats weird since you only installed it today and usually i hear of those stories of blinkin cel then limp mode a few months or weeks after uppipe installs.

did you connect your blow off vavle tubes after you put back the top mount, i forgot once to plug my tubes into the blow off and it started to have a CEL light blinking

Blinking CEL is usually a misfire. Did you for any reason disconnect any coil packs during the downpipe installation?
A bad EGT sensor as was suggested earlier can cause a similar "limp" situation - but the stalling at idle is weird. Sounds like mis-fire to me...

well i reset my ecu again and so far no problems...i guess it'll just be a matter of time until the cel comes on again...but if my egt sensor IS fried, how do i fix this?
