Luckily you noticed the temp before the engine decided to crap out on you.

I had a similar, but lucky scenario..

On the way home from a long day at work, I noticed my a/c get warm and stay warm.. I was like wtf? .. Same thing, coolant gauge past H, oh ****, pull over.

Culprit was a pinhole in my heater core bypass hose. Leaked all my coolant out. It magically disappeared on my way home after adding some coolant. Needless to say heater core is working again tho.

Glad you were able to catch it before you broke da motor.

I sure am.

How much is thermostat from Servco? Because a ZeroSports or Crucial Racing thermostat is like $60-$75, wondering if the upgrade is worth it?

Everyone is having coolant system problems this month? lol
One of the lines going to the throttle body busted and sprayed coolant over the top, making a nice white steam column out the hoodscoop, hows that for a scare...

Actually the Crucial thermostat is only $45 and is great. The best part is it will fail in the open position so you will never overheat your car because of stuck thermostat again.
