Help me. Talk me out of buying a SRT-4

Or you could always buy my used and already modified WRX Wagon. Though I've never done 1/4 mile it should perform in the low to mid 13s and it has an awesome STi suspension.
Had to get my plug in!
Good luck on your decision.

The WRX would be nice but for less money (and a lot less to mod) I can get a SRT-4 and run low 13s, high 12s (and yes I do more than drive in a straight line but I'd love to have a 12 sec street car).
What I like about the SRT-4 is the bang for the buck and I'd also feel more at ease parking it here in this industrial environment (Pearl Harbor). What I don't like is the fugly looks, and questionable build quality and reliability (haven't owned an American made car since my '70 Challenger in High School).
Comments, discussion please. TIA.

Car Info: 2004 Subaru STI/WRX Silver of course
SRT
Hey if it is what you want then get like everybody has already said it is a Neon but Dodge has been making fast cars longer than Subaru. Now if they just make the Neon 4wd then I would go down and buy one today but they don't. But what do I know I don't even own a WRX just a RS... Good luck in what ever you decide to buy.

Mister 2 no matter where you post you are always going to get skewed/bias opinions. i say if your heart is set on having a 12 sec car then go for it. total butt whooping at the 1/4 mile from a neon. i'm not going to say subarus are better than neons but just go with what you will be happy with. as you said you don't care for the neon looks and well image is 50% of the car. even if it is a head turner at the tracks you won't fully love your car. but with time you will hopefully love it if you go that route. as for me i was sold on my impreza even before i sat in it. my first impression at the dealership sold me and 4 hours later was driving away with a new car (total impulse since i wasn't planning on buying a car) and to this day i still love my car even though i want a wrx.
test drive both cars and see what suits you because no matter where you ask here or the neon site you will get both sides of the story as both being good. in the end you will live with what you have so make sure it is truly want you want (not everyone else) with no regrets. good luck!
