I will say

dealing with someone that actually cares or answers the phone means a lot. And I like both motors. Decisions, decisions.

That's what I was saying.

To answer your question, Ron owns Axis Power Racing. A guy named Mike, MJU1983 works for him now and is an enthusiastic Suby lover. Once in a while I'll chat with him about the work that Ron's doing.

Buy a 2.2

turbo legacy closed deck. My friends in Canada say they're common.

TXS uses Dynapacks for measuring horse power. You cannot compare Dynamic Dyno HP with Dynapaks hp.

All the "bullsh@@t" is what makes this whole thing fun.
Creating a beast is just as fun, if not more fun, than driving one.
Driving someone else's creation is easy, anyone can do that. Driving your own has pride.

That's another reason why I 'almost' bought that 2.2L/T. I figured at that price, I could play around with it all I wanted in my laboratory w/o fear of breaking something. Unfortunately, I think that that's only an option for when I get on the mainland and don't have to pay hundreds for a 85lb block (at least, that's about how much the 2.0 weighed.)

I am amazed at how much I've learned since I've had the car (and if you knew how slow a learner I am, you'd understand) I really regret that I had Schuman do my tranny. That experience I could've had is irreplaceable.

well damn, .... I missed this discusion for a while.

first off, ... a 2.0's torque curve isn't going to be near as pretty as an "all things equal" 2.4 or 2.5's. As the saying goes, ... it's all about "the area Under the curve". Who gives a **** if it make 500 HP at 6500rpm, ... if it only makes 100 at 4500?? It all depends on what you want though I guess ..........

About the UTEC detecting knock, etc Pat. It can not do Near as good of job as the Ultrasafeguard. Do you realize the power you loose when timing is retarded in all cylinders b/c of some 'knock' in one cylinder?
I could "honestly" go on and on about this particular debate, ... but I will never type that much again. I believe the UltraSafeguard to be a valuable asset to anyone who drives a highly modded Street car.
