Help looking for place to live
I am looking for townhouse or house for rent near schofield brks. I mainly need a car garage to store my vehicle. If anyone knows a realtor company or anything please let me know. This craigslist thing only shows apartments with stalls not actual garages. Any active duty ppl here living at Ewa Beach? If so how long does it take to get to PT in da morning?

most town houses in Hawaii will not have garages. and depending when the house was built more than half have car ports.
if you are looking to live in Ewa, plan a 30 to 40 minute commute in the mornings for PT. You have to compete with Ewa morning traffic and then again as you get closer to the gate off of Kunia road.
IMO your best bet is to live in Mililani. I was able to get from my house and through the gates within 15 minutes.

The garage thing is what sucks, ive always been very overprotective of my vehicle and the only place i seem to be able to find a place with a nice car garage is at ewa beach. 30 minutes is not as bad as i thought but idk. i been looking at places in Mililani and they seem good. Do you live by mililani and have a house or apartment?

In any case, try checking the Waikele area. IMO, it's newer, closer to the Freeways, shopping, bus, and not to mention closer to Schofield. I live in Village on the Green and there are a couple places for sale with garages, but not sure if they're willing to rent, or only sell. My wife also used to be a realtor with Prudential and she mentioned it may be difficult to find a realtor to help you find a rental since they make most of their money from house sales. In any case, she said you can check this website if you haven't already: http://www.rentalsillustrated.com/. Good luck bro

IIRC, Jess lived in Mililani, but had a car port. Right Jess?

there are a couple open houses for RENT @ West Loch Fairways, in Ewa Beach. I believe the majority of the houses here are uniformed (with the exception of 1 or 2 story), with 2 car garages.
also its at the entrance of ewa, so traffic is usually never a problem.
