I have friend with a Evo who is need of with a accelaration problem. What happens is everytime that he goes full throttle his car at certain RPM it stalls of feelsl ike its losing power.Wewent to see if its a boost leak but the person tested it and it wasn't.My friend just got a new clutch in stalled i think it might be that problem cause when hes pounding it fells that way. Besides that do any of have any other suggestions. Thanks in advance.

if the car is stalling then i don't think it's the clutch. if it were the clutch you would definately know. If you just installed a new clutch you shouldn't be "pounding it" as this is bad for the new clutch and you can cause it to shatter and possibly destroy your transmission. There is recommended break in period for your clutch and I believe it is at least 1000 miles of moderate driving for SUBARUs. This is possibly the same for Mitsus as well.
If when he reaches that RPM his car is bogging out and feels like it's loosing power then it is probably a vacuum leak or "boost leak". I would look at all the hoses and hose clamps that were removed in the process of instlling the clutch and make that they are all tight. If the hose gives a little under the pressure this problem can occur.
