Holly ****ing hell.. We bought our plane tickets/rental car today...
So round trip flights, with no lay-overs, and rental car (cheapest econo car they had) cost us just over $1900
There were other flights that would save us maybe $100 but they have a 2hr lay-over in Portland. Well making bigger and bigger progress lol

Congrats on the engagement! I think you can't go wrong with either place and either month. Both Islands are beautiful and very laid back. As Ted mentioned, coming to Oahu would be a better bet if you're looking for more excitement and action, but if you're looking for peace and relaxation, Kauai and Maui can't be beat. As for the time of year, both June and July are good "wedding" weather months, since it's the beginning of summer, and Hawaii is general is pretty much blue skies and sunshine most of the year. Kauai does tend to get a little more rain fall than most of the other islands, so I'm not too sure if that may sway your wedding decision plans. Damn bro, getting married on the Beach........I'm sure your wifey will be happy........should make for a memorable wedding night .
IMO, I'd choose Maui over Kauai. It's still very beautiful and has a nice blend of that "Old Hawaii" feel and modern accommodations. Hopefully your G-ma's timeshare is at the Grand Wailea ( http://www.grandwailea.com/ ). Beautiful spot! I assure you, sauce will be made if you stay there.

So a little more of an update...
So my fiances best friend got married in Maui on the beach. Everything was taken care of thru Person X. Her best friend LOVED how everything turned out so reffered us to Person X.
Well we have been emailed back and forth Person X since Sept 09 with all the details that we want/dont want for our wedding package. Gave her a deposite for "save our date" and things are good to go.
Well after Sept a few months go by and we still hadnt heard back from her. By now we thought we would have paid another installment of the overall price to let her know "we are serious" about doing this. So my fiance emails her and asks how everything is going.
Well she has no record of us..... Nothing.... So my fiance fwds all the previous emails back to her thinking it was just a mistake. Person X writes back with an overall quote and it was wrong. Things included that we didnt want and her plain just did her math wrong. So my fiance writes back correcting her.
Again another month or so goes by with no word back. So my fiance emails her back. Two weeks and no reply. So emails again, starting to get worried. So Person X finally emails back. Said that a lot of changes are going on in her life right now and had to get another full time job due to things. It was the first chance she had to respond to emails in almost two weeks. Ok, frustraiting but ok, lets get this going.
So another month goes by and by now we thought we would have paid for almost our entire package but we have barley paid anything. Fiance wrote her last week and just got a response back today. All in all it basically said "things are too crazy for me, my life is changing and I cannot do your wedding. If you want my soon to be exhusband will take care of it for you, or you can contact these ppl to see if they can help."
Fiance flips out.
Got lucky and the other place still had our original date open, and looks like we might be getting about the same if not a bit more to our package for about the same if not less money.
With less than 2 months to our wedding, that was not needed lol. But as of now things are still on track
Thats a REALLY quick summary of things today

Sorry to hear that bro, but on the flip side, things seem to have been somewhat squared away. I know the stresses of the wedding planning process.......and yup, I married Sigma Pi's cousin...hahaha. In any case, best of luck and just enjoy yourself. In the end, I'm sure it will all work out.

Yup, cool guy. I think his bugeye was the first Suby I actually rode in......this was years back when we visited Cali and stayed at their house. He took us to gamble at one of the Indian reservations. I remember him taking this freeway onramp pretty fuggin fast. AWD ftw...
