Headlight question

I know this is kind of nit-picky, but I burned out a low beam bulb today and I was wondering if there is anything I should know before I just run off to Wal-Mart and grab a replacement bulb. Thanks.

I recommend the sylvania silverstar bulbs they make OEM replacements and they are really nice and bright bulbs.

lol, sorry for thread jack but I had a friend recently come out from NJ and she was shocked that we had grocery store chains here, I guess she thought we just went to the plantations every weekend to pick pineapples and coconuts then spent the rest of the weekend fishing.

I have no doubt they are serious.

yup, apparently some people still think we live in grass huts or something but yet they want to come and vacation here and there'd be no way that half those people would be able to survive without their modern conveniences LOL.

My friends went to DC in grade school and they were like "how'd you get here". They told them they used canoes to get to LA and flew there. They believed them.

I had a friend from Japan do an exchange program back in high school in Kansas. The kids asked her where she bought Western clothing

But to answer the original question, I present you with this:

Hey if you are getting normal halogen bulbs I say get a pair as you probably should change the other one to make sure they match and might as well since the other one will probably burn out soon.

Silverstar is good...I actually use Hella Yellowstar bulbs which are basically Hella Bulbs with an Ion coating to burn yellow. I tend to see better at night with these especially in the rain. They're only $6 to $14 per bulb dependant on wattage. I think I use just the 55w's.

All B.S. aside I had some new soldiers in the past think that everything in Hawaii was still grass huts and all the females ran around in coconut bra's.

Thanks once again for the input.

As for the other thing, it works both ways... on my first trip to Alaska a couple of years ago, we started our tour in Juneau. There was a light covering of snow on the mountains, the tour guide said that "we got some snow this year". I was like WTF, this is Alaska, isn't it ALWAYS covered in snow?

"oh, than i like ancient hawaii better" ... haha people are funny.

and oh yeah, you cant go wrong with a pair of sylvania silverstars! or save up like $900 and get em retrofitted with some s2000 projectors from lightwerkz.net

If i may shed some light on the issue of silverstars. The sylvania silverstar bulbs burned out waay to quick for me. I had replaced like 4-6 bulbs before i decided to go with a quality HID lighting system. I don't like sylvania's in suabrus, but have had great experiences in toyotas. They have been going strong in the corolla that I gave to my mother-in-law for over 4 years now.
But it seems like i was replacing them every 4 months or so in the wrx. Maybe it's because i live on windward oahu. More moisture here?

I'd suggest another brand for the bulb. PIAA used to be a popular choice as well.
