Lots to choose from...

if you want the Subie rumble=unequal length...

I run the Gt Spec V2 Header/up-pipe (3/4:1) ratio...

My cousin Daniel runs the Jet Hot Coated Gruppe-S Header, which is very similar if not the same design as the GT Spec V2...

Both of us have no complaints...we have ProTunes for our accessports that take into account the header...and it's smoooooth.

There are lots to choose from...good quality, bad quality...be careful, you get what you pay for...

I like the cusco header as well...

If you want Equal Length, the APS, Fujitsubo, and Invidia come to mind real quickly...but that is where you will start losing the subie rumble...

FYI: an equal length header (not headers) will cause you to loose the subaru boxer engine sound.

the OP wants to retain that sound. there are many out there and as brent stated... as long as you choose one that is NOT equal length you should be fine regarding the sound.

I do agree though the Fujitsubo header is nice. I got my eye on something else though *secret*

Thanks for the correction.

The only reason why I chose the Fujitsubo is because of my car going into huge project +600whp soon!!!!DEC!!!

I have witnessed someone else with a Fujitsubo header on his STI and it sounded mean and a loud rumble but the STI was fully modified another 10 sec. car. Maybe that had something to do with it.

Description: Fujitsubo WRX STI Exhaust Manifold Header
[FUJ 610-63031]

Made of full SUS 304 stainless steel. This header will increase torque and horse power, and decrease spool up times. This header is excellent quality and will not rust.

All of these mentioned above are great products. My only advice to you is; Do not get GP moto or Borla ( not worth it).

Thanks

The Fujitsubo is really nice^^^

I've personally heard one...fyi...the equal length headers listed above are pricey...in the $800-$1200 range...work of art...

Like everyone has said above in one way or another, if this is one of your first mods...you are better off going with a downpipe, turboback, EM, or swaybars etc first - it's a more noticable change to either your power or handling...most of us that get headers usually do the usual mods prior to going this route unless a really good deal comes along that you can't refuse...

i'd go for the GT spec or gruppe-S coated headers. they seem like the best bang for the buck. the cusco ones are super nice, but super expensive compaired to the other two. happy hunting!

Some header is model specific. The APS and Perrin one are for STi only! Will not fit the WRX caz of the oil pan. Stay away from GT Spec I heard they had leak issues. Basically what everyone mentioned above.

Roy: I'm jealous... that's freakin' beautiful.

I picked up a used Cusco (heat wrapped and etc.) sitting in my garage... I'm debating whether to do a turbo mod... but I think I'll just slap it on.

Jon: Getting a MaximWork header?
