awesome!
I'm definitely going to go to the mountain then. is there a charge for young kids.
I'm also one of those that get sick on the boat. navatech in highschool was bad times for me. fishing boats and my face turns green.

Don't worry about it. I know you told me that you had a jury duty. I did see 2 wrb sti's and a black one in Kihei and Lahaina area, threw some shaka's but only got the look . i was wishing i could meet up with some fellow i-clubbers there, but then again, we had a very busy schedule as well.
but I loved the Kula area where you told me that's where you live. nice, cool and beautiful...how much does a house cost over there?

Unless you bring your car the I would not waste time on the superferry. 3.5-4 hours each way + you have to be at the docks atleast 1.5 hours before departure. It's great if you bring your car, but otherwise I would rather take a plane.

Thanks for sharing your experience Ted....You help answered alot of questions I've been wondering about the superferry.
I'm planning to take a trip to Maui myself this August or September. According to MRP (Maui Raceway Park) there are 2 events coming up that are both 2 days long. August 22 & 23 is an all day event were everyone is welcome to join and do as many passes. And September 19 & 20 is Maui's Fastest Street Car Shootout, Dragsters, funny cars, ect....

I'll arrive in Maui friday morning, the 22nd. On that evening, head down to MRP and drag my STi. Head back to MRP on the 23rd to attend the second part of that racing event. 24th I'll watch the SCCA event and 25th head up haleakala for the sunrise, 26th head back to Oahu in the morning. I already have Saturdays and Tuesdays off, so all I need to do is request only 3 days off (Friday, Sunday, and Monday) alright, sounds like a plan....
