Gas prices?!!!

So I'm getting terrible mileage and have to lean out my maps quite a bit.. But thats going to have to wait until Sean is dont with the HIIC community wideband.

But I went to fill up the other day at Aina Haina 76, and I paid $2.07 a gallon! Just a week earlier it was $2.02.

Man I may have to go back to the stock ECU until the middle east crap is over.

It's like eating an elephant...one bite at a time.

Is anyone a Cosco member? They've got pretty good prices. Better than any military base.

...for Richard,

Something I didn't add into my email was now that gas prices are high, my RICH map is killing me. I don't think I'm getting much more than 180 miles on a tank.

Wow... Safe is expensive, eh?

Mitch has the unenviable task (and the big brain to pull it off!) of tuning idle, off-idle, cruise, decel, and wot fueling...

We just have to worry about (basically) WOT stuff. So unless you've got your foot in it (past 60% tps and a goodly amount of boost) it's not your UTEC map that's affecting your mileage.

Have you reset your factory ECU at all?

Did you see my thread on wrxhackers.com regardging the ecu passing through knock indicators to the OEM ECU? (Incidentally, that's an incorrect assumption, the sensor is shared - the determination of knock is up to the OEM ECU and the UTEC individually) - but what I'm getting at is that if you've seen a bunch of knock during testing/tuning it's a smart idea to reset the ECU. Just thought of that because of my posed question above.

I don't know if I want to do that pre- or post- going to the strip.

Should be okay to do it pre-strip adventure - just be sure to do the Vishnu reset. That being said, I'm going to wait until AFTER I go tonight.
