Hate it when I'm right.... and Dumb.
Three things:
#1
My head is shot. The cam bearings have huge gouges in them. Which I knew it would (bent cams do that sort of thing). That means I need a new head. Ed said he had one I could grab from him, but I can't get ahold of him. Oh well. So my car isn't running.
#2
Remember that cold air intake I made? The one I used 3" exhaust pipe to fabricate.... and cut up... with a hacksaw... Well... the wife came home as I was doing the final fitment test and insisted I came inside (because she hates it when I work on the car- because I'm a bad father and husband when I do). Well I came inside and forgot one major thing....
To wipe all the metal shavings out of the inside of the pipe. Yeah, I sucked some into my engine. I have no idea if there is any damage, but I don't think my engine is very happy regardless. And I don't think either side of my turbo is very pleased either.
See the really [not so] cool thing about sucking things into a turbo motor is that it goes through the compressor that's spinning really fast, then through the turbine.... that's... also... spinning very fast.

I suck.
Yup... no doubt.
However, I figure since I gotta take the damn engine apart to change the head... I should put a STi block in there too....
BUT
I can't afford to drop 1200 bucks right now. If only I had a friend with a STi block sittin' around that would take payments.... hmmmmmm...
