after my visit the other day... i was left with a somewhat decent impression... although they are still expensive- in the ball park of 3 grand over msrp for the evo8 and about 2 grand over for the rs.

and, they didn't bash my car- good compliments -

3g over... ick, means the MR will be way overpriced when it comes in.

Sup guys, remember me? The dude with the stolen/burned STi a few months back? Well I actually crossed over and picked up an Apex Silver EVO a couple weeks ago. They were asking like $4000 over MSRP, but just on the window sticker. At first they were offering me a yellow '03 model for about MSRP, but I didn't want yellow. So they had a fully loaded silver EVO that I wanted. I was able to negotiate more than a couple grand down. MSRP was about $33,000 with all the options. I don't have any regrets and love this car just as much as I did my STi. Both have their ups/downs, pretty much up to personal preference.

right on Danalo. Just to let you know.. the Evo looks .. well Evil.. That fascia looks like its mad at something. I like it a lot. The only problem I have with evos is that its on the Police $hit list cause over here the moms buy them for the spoiled kids or the little kids work 3 fast food restraunt jobs And these little kids call out every car they think is worthy. Too bad they ruined it for all the true enthusiasts over here.

I bought my '03 Rally Red Evo well before the '04s were out, and I got it for a few hundred under sticker (not the markup). I don't know why people think the dealers are actually getting that markup out of everybody.

There aren't '04 Evo 8's are there? Oh I just picked up the newest car and driver and there will only be 1,000 EVO MR's released in the US. They have a rev limiter that will not allow you to go over 5k rpm's with the clutch petal in.

yups...i think they're tryin' to hide a weakness in the tranny. either that or they don't want people to "abuse" a street car and then claim warranty.

also check out the new motor trend. it's got a pretty good track test of the evo mr against the 05 sti.
