Well I'd have to agree with you on that one? Anyone know anywhere I can kidnap a hot chick?

Joel, Carlos, will not be doing anything else tuning wise to his car he will be running on 93 octane pump gas all the time. Due to some new software available to ECUtek tuners Richard was able to get Carlos less than 10 WHP difference from the 100 octane map. I really hope to be in the same range because that will put me in the 390 - 400 WHP range on 93/94 (Indiana is awesome, we have 94 at Sunoco) pump gas.

The $200 was only for the dyno I guess, there is no reflash charge. This was our intial flash, and if Carlos was charged the $150 fee to have a new map loaded it would be a pure scam. Neither one of our cars has ever run right, and mine least of all. I guess it will be some news to them when I tell them they owe me $250 for the Perrin Inlet hose, and I am not paying anything. If I wanted to pay there is an excellent ECUtek tuner in Chicago that would tune it for less than $200 and I could drive there and back in 1 day since it is only 3 to 4 hours there.

Not sure on boost, but with the dyno tune he gained more than 30 WHP, and 30 TQ. He should be running close to what they quoted, since he ran 12's with his car the way it was before. He is very happy.

So...Nate, youre tellin me that Carlos' car was already making about 290 WHP when he was runnin 12.80 @ 105mph?.....I believe he was running 100 octane at the time?
I think dynocomps' dyno reads a little high, A stock STi would probably dyno around 240ish at the wheels! If im not mistaken...with 30+WHP it should allow him to run 12.40s to 12.50s @ 108/109mph, thats if he ran pump gas when he posted a 12.8? Well, anyway....let us know how you guys do once you test it at a 1/4 mile track!

Joel, it doesn't matter whether he runs 100 or not because his tune is for 93 pump gas. It was for 92 when he was here, and that is what he had in his car at the time he ran 12.8's. I think he made a few runs with just 92, and then put some 100 in for saftey from det. Race gas will not help your time if you ECU doesn't take advantage of it. He is not a stock STi, or even close to stock. Yes from what I have seen most stock STi's make 220 to 240 WHP depending on the dyno, and several other factors. He should be able to run consistant 12.3's to 12.5's with an actuall street car. Full interior wing and scoop. Why would you think that their dyno is high when you claim at least 50= WHP from DP, and tune? 100 WHP overstock make sence when you look at the setup he has. Heck by some calculations if he removed his wing he would be in the 12.1's. Ha ha ha!

Well, good luck to both of you....By the way, when I ran my 12.59, I still had my full interior, and even my big wing was still intact, are you sure the wing will take off that much in E.T. (.2+ seconds??)? Hmmm, we'll see when I get to remove it. Keep in mind that a rule of thumb is for every 10 WHP you gain, you should be able to take .1 sec off your E.T., it'll go up as you get faster ( 10s, 9s etc, would require 15WHP for each .1 approx), so +30WHP = .3 sec off the E.T. (from the same track), just like before...try not to raise your hopes too high and get disappointed later, dude! You gotta lower your expectations just a little bit.

Forgot to mention, ....I do not claim 50WHP from DP and tune, Im actually making 70+WHP from it. Lets see, bone stock my car ran 13.3s-13.4s @ 99-100mph. Right now it runs 12.5s to 12.6s @ 107-108mph....does that sound about right? I think so....anyway, I gotta get back to work on my VW project....good luck with yours!

I was kidding about taking off the wing. I think anyone that runs without their wing will look like a complete fool. I don't think it will even give you .001 off your time.
