Lightbulb Had an idea need subie experts input...

Well i was thinking, with Kristoys diagnose with the trans. The rear tail section is toast, would there be anyway of swapping the guts from a rear tail section from a phase 2 transmission like a WRX, into my leggy trans(Phase 1)? i know there are differences but if the whole rear was swapped why wouldn't it work? from what i have read and understand its the center diff that is different not much else? then again i can be totally wrong and letting my hopes get to my head lol.... also does anyone have an e-z out? there are 2 awesome bolts that were apparently snapped....

To do the swap you'll need the entire tail section including the transfer case to make the switch.
