I would contact

Alaska passed a gun law maybe 7 years ago allowing people to carry concealed weapons if they have no criminal record and take a special concealed weapon course...
Now that the good guys can carry guns as well as the bad...crime has reduced there...interesting...

Not going to happen in Hawaii,...lol!!
If you own a weapon and bring it in, you just got to register it I think. If you purchase a weapon outside Hawaii, it has to go thru a gun dealer (Magnum, Young guns, Security,..etc) and I think they charge you a fee.

In Alaska you can carry a concealed firearm as long as you can legally own a firearm. No permit, no classes.

Unless things have changed within the last several years, it stands that you get a clean background check and attend special classes to essentially be authorized to carry a concealed weapon. Of course you cannot carry it any public office such as the Federal Building, post offices, libraries etc...

Alaska adopted no permit carry in 2003.

thanks for the update on this...new to me...my brother never mentioned this at all...
It's pretty common place to carry a gun when you go fishing in the boonies...we typically carry a 10mm and 40sw in shoulder holsters when we fish...never once had had we had to un-holster them...

Your best option for a CCW is the Utah non-resident; It's fairly easy to get and is good in close to 30 states.
