I tapped where they say to get the boost signal for the stock gauge, the line to the bypass valve...

best place to tap for a boost gauge vacuum line is off of the blow off valve line. You can find the "T" fitting you need if you look at checkers, etc. And depending on what boost gauge you got, you may need to buy some vacuum line as well (autometer's plastic line sucks!)
Usually, for the a/f guage signal wire, you would want to tap into the wire at the harness close to the ECU. I don't have a pic of which pin/wire it is b/c I'm at work. I know it used to be on www.ProjectWRX.com , but I don't know now b/c you have to register to access anything.

and just a note about how IS2 has his vacuum line connected (I had mine the same way)
But a much 'cleaner' install would be to get a plastic "T" fitting and a barb fitting for the back of the gauge, along with buying some vacuum line. You can get the barb fitting at Kilgo's (sp?)
