Greg....math

Based on the fact that my posting is much more infrequent than it used to be:

My post count is 8,335 (largely in here, of course.) Yours is 6,765, for a difference of 1,570.

My inflated post count doesn't represent a diminished trend, but I'm at 8.43 per day. I don't know how I'd go about figuring out true 'monthly' posting average, say for the month of July 05, but I'd guess it's very low with respect to yours.

Yours is at 10.12.

I can pretty much guarantee that I'll continue to post at my decreased rate, but I'm willing to bet that you beat me to 10k.

Factors that lead to mine decreasing and yours being greater than mine are pretty obvious, but based on the fact that you joined generally a full year after me; and I really don't think you're a *****, I'd say that your propensity vs. mine would lead to a good, handicapped duel that others could greatly profit from (had I not posted this, as I think it would tend to give away all of the 'insider information'.)

okay here is the math-

at the current stats....
if we continue to post at our current rate(IF) until December 2005--
i will have posted 1568.6 posts- you will have posted 1306.65 posts.

at that time you will have 9645 posts. i will have 8337 posts. if we continue at the same pace i will be at 10,000 posts on february 4th... you will be there on february 11th......

so yeah you are right... now we gotta figure out what your "real" avg. is

oh, and don't check my math i'll slap whoever does via intraweb

maybe alex can give me a hand

I really do try and give thought to whether a post I want to make is tech or ot, but I know I am guilty of some 1 word posts.

I hardly know anyone in here anymore, but there are still some very good friends that I like to hear from who post in here once in a while.

I oughta cut down, but I like the i-club and we can't seem to get any legs under the midwest regional forum.

i think if all we wanted to do was talk tech we'd all be over at peaty's site scoobymods all the time. whether we know each other personally or not.... it sure is fun being online in a community like this- i may be a little too open about this.. but i actually spend way too much time on here... i love i-club. and i think i have have grown some serious roots here in hiic...even though i may be driving a s2k soon(or not!)
