Got stuck in the middle of some kind of import cruise coming back from the track...

So what did I find myself in the middle of at 12:20-30am Saturday morning while I was driving home from the dragstrip?

There must have been 20-30 souped up imports... I got a close up view of a nice white Civic hatch and a hooked up red Solara... Saw the whole thing as it passed in front of Foster Village/Stadium Mall and went H1 towards town.

I was in the white WRX just toolin' along like the old man that I am when I got surrounded by everybody. That was pretty nuts.

Haven't seen that many souped whips all in one place in a long time.

P.S. Thanks for the nod from the driver of the white Civic hatch. I thought you were mad after you flashed the hazards.
It was all civil until a couple of them did some messin' around. I got boxed in by a couple of cars (don't know if it was intentional or not) with a nice white Civic hatch in front of me. Did a 3rd gear at 60mph run for a bit and had to pedal it CONSTANTLY so I didn't bang the hatch's rear bumper...

I let off at a sane speed while he continued on with his hazards blinkin' and takin' some nutty turns, etc...

It was fun though.

I think the "sweet spot" of a Stage 4 WRX is the 3rd gear 60-90mph run.

I think a WRX could keep up with a whole buncha cars that trap faster than 106+ in the 60-90mph range...

We start to suck massive scro when shifting into 4th, but the nice mid to upper range rpm pull of 3rd gear is so seductive... YUM!

So I take it you have a new clutch in?

I'm going tonight, but had I known you were going I would've gone last night. Oh well, way to represent.

Heheheh. I'm not new to cruising, but I'm sure new to the "import underground 200+ car cruises" as in never been, and no desire.
