so.... first impression on the perrin elh's weren't that great. it took a little work to get the manifolds on but eventually got it. I also struggled a bit on getting the 02 clip off. then came the up pipe connection, 1st tried the gs gasket = leak at connection to up pipe. switched out to the 2x thick gs gasket = still leaking. got it right the 3rd time going with the gs 2x thick + oem. was instantly turned off by the sound when I did my test drive but felt totally different when I returned home. car felt A LOT smoother with normal driving. I felt the difference on the butt dyno throughout majority of the powerband and have to say that after 30 minutes of driving I fell in love. Yet another happy elh camper. given all the issues and complications, I would still do it again! cant wait to see Jar in Feb and can't wait to get back from my trip to Maui. This youtube, play and pause mechanic needs to install the rest of his xmas goodies!

Did you loosen the brackets that hold the turbo/up pipe in place before installing the manidold?
To do it properly the dp has to come off. There are two brackets that attach to the top of the up pipe. All 5 of these bolts/nuts need to be loose before installing manifold.
The bolts for cross pipe must also be loose.
Install everything finger tight, should go together like butter. Then slowly tighten each bolt progressively.
It sounds like you have stressed/force fit your parts.
This is why people have problems with cracked manifolds and broken welds.
