Got in accident

Well I was out for lunch today and some guy driving a cab reversed into me as he was leaving his parking spot. I tried to reverse out of the way but he just flew out and hit me. He tore my bumper to the point it was just hanging but I got it to stay up untill I got back to work. Now I need a new bumper skin and I don't know what else.
I will look at it deeper tomorow.

isnt he responsible for the repairs tho? you shouldnt have to pay anything, not your fault.

i was just thinkin that they were both in a parking lot, and most the time that's a 50/50 thing, they both pay for their own.

That really blows. At least you know the cab has insurance.

Not sure of the details, but it sounds like the taxi is at fault cause he reversed into you?

I got a dent from a parking lot situation and there was enough details to find fault of the other guy. He paid both the damages and my deductible.

Hopefully you can do the same for your situation.

'gluck!

Oh no the cab is definitely at fault and will pay for 100% of his damages. Anytime you're reversing, almost always the insurance will find you at fault.

Well... this case both of them are reversing. A friend got into similar accident, and the stupid car insurance company wouldn't cover the damage 100% and claim them both at fault.

Well, good luck and hope everything works out for you.

I still haven't heard back from his insurance company. But my company said that his insurance company should take care of it. I looked at my car closer and found the right headlight housing cracked, parking light on fender cracked and fender dented. My fog lights didn't look like there was any damage to them.
