Goodbye Scottish Scooby, Hello "Daddywagon"
Aloha folks, long time no speak!!
We're flying out to Oahu tomorrow (well about 6 hours time) so hope to see you all at one of the meets.
We're out for Christmas and New Year, any idea if there's anything auotomotive on over the festivities??
From the title, it is with great sadness that I have to say that I have sold my beloved scooby, but with 100,000 miles on her and driving a minimum of 500 miles per week, I needed something new (and a wagon for all the baby gear!!).
Below is a photo of my old baby, now with her happy new owner who's also a member of the Subaru Impreza Drivers Club (SIDC), so I know he'll take care of her.

For a replacement I had a look at the legacy, but either they had great economy and terrible power or vice versa. So wanting to stay with 4wd, a wagon and some serious performance, I bought -
An Audi!!
To be specific an Audi A4 Avant 3.0TDI quattro s-line.
Out of the box she comes with 233bhp and 332 lb/ft of torque, but once remapped, I'll be looking at 280bhp and 450 lb/ft of torque, which I'm sure you'll agree is lovely and she'll return 40mpg all day long!!
Didin't realise that when buying an Audi, it's all about the goodies, this one has the lot -
18 inch wheels
20mm lowererd
Bodykit
Adaptive zenon headlifgts
Front and Rear parking sensors
Interior light pack
Rain sensors
Auto dimming rear view mirror
BOSE sound system
GPS/DVD head unit
bluetooth phone kit
Auto box with paddle shifters (great fun)
Black/Silver leather (heated and electric) a $5000 option, glad I didn't pay for it
Privacy Glass
S4 big brake kit
Cruise Control
In fact so much stuff I can't remember it all.
As ever, I've already added a few of my own modifications -
19 inch wheels
lowered 55mm
RS4 front grill
RS4 rear sway bar
ABT foot pedals
Here's a few photos to give you an idea -

Hey Mike, howzit? Glad to see you're coming back to the islands again for a little bit. I was also in the same boat as you just a few months ago, looking for a wagon with a little more room. We actually decided on a 2010 Forester XT Limited.
BTW, How's the lil one doing? I hope to catch up with you when you get here.

Hi guys, thanks for the responses.
the exhaust is a Scoobyworld Ninjas.
The lip kit is Subaru OEM, supplied by Subaru. Unfortunately it's very expensive and also very hard to get hold of as I've had a few people asking me to source them
Chris, Brandon, Walter, hope to catch up with you all soon!! Was hoping to go to the meet tonight, but my 7 month old daughter is still on UK time and so it'll be my fifth night of no sleep, oh the joys!!
Don't know if there'll be any meets over Christmas or the New Year, but I'm here until January 15th, so I'm sure I'll fit at least one in!!
Regards
Mike
