i'm not sure if they carry the actual model locally... anywhere locally that sells the brand can "special order" it but if you want a decent price you'll probably have to go where I went to get my RE-01R's which is tirerack.com

Son of a douche. I called the local Goodyear and they told me the Direzza Z1 Star Specs were only available in Japan and they couldn't order them.... Ron's wants $149 a tire for Azenis RT-615s and I couldn't get a hold of any of the other tire distributors. What do people do around here for performance tires? Just order online and take it for shipping?

for good tires I go through tirerack, otherwise I just go economical and stick with Costco.

Infek and I both have the RE-01R's. Although you can get them from tirerack, you can also order them and have them sent to a recommended shop. I usually have the tires sent to my cousin's shop and he mounts them for me. Also, I just got the Hankook Ventus R-S2's mounted as well. I guess these are the same Z212's, but most people call them simply r-s2's. They are good IMO as a street tyre, and i will make my decision as a comp. tyre next week.

I'm going with the new Dunlops myself for my next summer/auto-x tire. Well unless I score some cheap rims one day and go full on r-compound.

So your going to be running the RS2s at the next autoX. I'm really interested to see how they do. Maybe Ill have to show up and spectate at the very least. If I could get tires before then I might even race but that is doubtful. I have heard really good things about the new Direzzas though, have some good friends running them in autoX and track days and says they are stickier than the RE01s which to my knowledge is the stickiest tire short of a R compound.

All your info sounds spot on. BTW, if you come to see a subaru run on the RS-2's, next weekend you may be disappointed. I have them on my toyota, which will make it's debut while the suby stays home.
