Sounds good for a small budget...
It really depends on what you are looking for... but this combo sounds good for the price.
Alpine is good as far I know, kicker is ok, and as long as the amp can provide enough watts at decent Ohms, then you should be ok.
Anyway, budget and sound quality should be taken into account..

it all depends on the exact specs. if you can give me some model numbers or basics on the subs and amp i'll let you know. try to find out all the model numbers and i can tell you for sure if it's even gonna sound decent. no sence you spend all that money and it sounds junk. L8R

yeah, i broke as heck so i can only spend 400 to 600 only, and i still have to buy speakers and tweeters
i dont really want anything big, just something with good quality
btw, what speakers should i get that would go good with the package?

i can get you a deal on some alpine 6 1/2. 2 way coax for around $60. tweaters i might be able to help you with too. like san said listen to a test setup just make sure they are using the same amp. sometimes they try to throw the subs on a more powerfull amp and it sounds good in the store but junk in your car.

i'm not worried about my sounds...i have the stock deck...hooked up to a "lightning audio" 500w amp with a 12" KICKER CVR...stock speakers and tweeters...thats about it....as long as i can feel the bump in my car...i'm not really one who likes to "share my music", if you know what i mean....like those civic guys with the extremely loud sound system...i mean...why do they want their sounds to be so loud...its like their DJ'ing while in traffic or something...LoL...and on top of that their car is rattling so loud it seems like they have a really bad recording of the song...LoL...

those guys are okay for "good deals" - they have a reputation for
giving you a good deal one day... then go the next day the prices are different
and if u go in on a ad make sure that they honor it.
sometimes they don't "have it" and switch you...
the funny thing is- i like these guys cuz they call me .. . "hello my friend..."
as far as the equipment goes- it sounds okay if u don't mind kicker.
and they also have a rep for "leaving things out" when they install your equipment. ( from personal experience )
but if you are strictly price shopping then yeah i recommend them-
but if you want quality installs and equipment try car tunes right next door-
thats who my dealership uses.

Actually they've had a pretty "bad" reputation (I know people who had decks fall out, doors leak, etc) although they've tried to change that the last couple years by trying to sell more high end, name brand stuff. While everyone has different needs when it comes to equipment, SQ, etc, I personally would be very cautious when it comes to installation (remember you spent $30k+).
But $400 seems pretty good for what you're getting....just be careful. From my experience talking to this shop (and they're not the only ones), they are definitely more concerned with moving products rather than making sure the customer gets something they'll be happy with (ie something of quality).
If you're really on a budget think about going with a single sub, especially if you plan to use deck power....unless you love bass and dont give a crap about hearing the music. You could also leave out rear speakers for now to save money.....even better if this means you can get a 4 channel amp.
