I met a guy who ran 225's on a 18x9.75 on his gd and he had fitment issues for days, and rubbing on hard turns, even with his tiens. Sucks, I wouldn't even consider going 9.75 unless i had a hood pocket of money to sit on (tires/coils/fender pull&roll). I'd be happy with 8.75's personally. I'm riding on my stockers till I have money to do something nice, so I can run 255's. I'd rather have a meaty tire, not lack there of. But I do love the hellaflush look, just not so keen of it when people go overboard, and max camber poking nothing but wheel.

Thanks for all the input. I have already ordered the wheels and they are on the way. I eventually will be getting coilivers once I get some cash (TAX RETURN BABY LOL). I will do more research and get my setup right the first time I have at it. antho!, thanks for your input and you have a great looking ride!!

glad that info helped, that's mark's (smr_wrx) car. but like azer408 said, you're gonna have issues...probably even with a rear roll. i'd recommend saving your wheels until you get coils...figure out what tires you want, set your ride height, roll/pull your fenders...all at once. gl on your set up

To clarify...you lost me at 225 because that's when I realized that this is a herra-frush aka 2011-Rice thread.

245 should be the minimum that all 02-07 WRX or STi owners should shoot for.

I had 215 35 on those wheels before, always debeaded. It's possible to fit them though a 215 could also help

Im running enkei gtc01 18x8.5 +35 offset with 245/40. Had to roll the rears. Tried to do it myself that didn't go well. Took it to my friends body shop he didn't have a roller only a puller he pulled it but the molding came off (07 STi). He called a friend at Ace Auto Glass and they used some kind adhesives to put the molding back on. It came out pretty nice after that.
