There are goddamn houses on that road. There are goddamn houses on Tantalus also. Don't be an idiot and drive fast where people live. Ditchhanger said it, but it bears repeating again! You wanna drive quickly? Go to the SCCA Autocross at the stadium. Don't be a dumbass and do it on the roads.

Yeah I don't want to go through residential areas fast. I love saddle road but unfortunately the ferry will never be. And I cannot handle Hana on the lower side but Iao Point is nice and scenic.

Dang I missed the meets. How is driving through cones? I watch the videos but cannot follow on how you know when to take turns.

Is there any dirt tracks like SCCA style?

i don't go through these places speeding and nor do i speed on a regular basis so i hope this wasn't directed at me. this was a suggestion and what i wrote is what other people have talked about when i was around. i don't support racing nor speeding through residential areas.

Autocrossing is a lot of fun. The track is different every time they hold it which is part of the fun. You get a chance to walk the track for a little while before you start - then you get 4 runs to lay down the best time you can.

There's an SCCA Pro Rally, but we don't have any events here in Hawaii that I know of.

And no way could I catch the Subaru...that one was going fast. I would have to defy the laws of physics to catch that baby. I was going pretty good at about 20 mph just past the lookout so not residential.

Wow. So the state might wanna take away auto-x too? Once a month does not hurt ones ears, and the tire screeching is non-intentional. wtf?

Not the state, just a few picky residents...

It's hard though, because the complaint is about noise, not what type of driving is occurring there...

What about rallyx since you want to go in the dirt? Check the threads that were posted up. First event is on the 25th of this month (I think)
