Good drives on Oahu

I am not fully sold on Subaru. What are some good driving places to get the Subaru experience?

I have done Tantalus where I first fell in love with a Subaru. I was behind a white turbo Subaru and a Mini Cooper. The Cooper couldn't hang so he pulled over but I couldn't catch the Subaru.

I was thinking about Alan Davis but not sure if the Subaru can handle it.

13 corners I think it's called? 13 turns maybe? It kinda goes alongside the Pali. Give that a try :-)

or Norfolk. while you're heading into Waimanalo from Kaneohe side, it's going to be the second right turn and comes out right before you enter Waimanalo

13 turns is kinda dangerous because sometimes the people that live there throw things onto the road (i.e. wood blocks and crap). as a precaution, drive the roads before you try to rip it or maybe i should say before you try to do some spirited driving

Good idea. I drove Roundtop with the traction control on just to be safe but that was no fun at all.

it's the one when you're on Kaneohe side of the tunnel, the right at the first light.

All I'm going to say is this...if you decide to have some "spirited driving" or to "experience a Subaru", don't post up in here. If there is a chance you may be putting others at risk on the roads, no one here likes to hear it...just an FYI. Talk amongst your friends face to face, but don't post up. You can make us all look like a bunch of road racing retards.

Ditchhanger's point is to keep these sort of road recommendation conversations offline since you never know who's lurking the boards
Last week's meet was in Kahala, this week's in in Aiea, so you have the perfect opportunity to ask your fellow HIIC'ers in person

ho man, I think I had my best AND worst(scary) driving moments on 13 corners. That matured me that much more; so I don't push it on public streets that hard anymore Sick road, but short.

if you want to push a subie to your limits autocross it.
you will learn more about your car there and gain alittle.

This is a funny post, because your location states backyard touge is what you do best. Hahaha. Nice try though.
