Different make and quality... just like tires... theres one for certain occasions/ locations of the ball, ie... wind factor,course difficulty, youre swing etc... theres type of ball for distance, straight, etc...

But if you are just starting and learning how to play, your best bet would be start off with some cheaper ***** cause you will lose some...untill you improve youre game and save lots of money on *****... just my .02... thats how I did it 5 years ago...thanks... Jose

I use Maxfli with the red dot. Forgot the name because I haven't played a round in about a year.

Start out with the cheapest possible *****. Also, get ones that are rated more for range then for spin. If you're a real noob and scores don't matter to your friends then you can polish your ***** to get even less spin and less chance of going OB.

Ha ha ha polish your *****. I kill myself!

me and my teacher buddys golf every wednesday (AFTER WORK) at makalena... haha... 9 holes $6... course is looking alot better but still kinda beat up... great place for sucky people like me
