i dont really remember his whole setup, but i believe krang made GOOD power on his stock 2.0 block....i believe it was just as much, if not more than lorenzos built motor....

The guys at machine shops aren't super heros.

and we are talking about a combustion chamber, not a crankshaft bearing journal that has to be very close to perfect. the cc of the heads can be off a lot and it wouldnt make as much of a difference as the impurities and inconsistancies that we have in our fuel.

Well krang has a 20G turbo...Our whp was about the same but our Tq was really different because I have a 2.5L.

Our setup are similiar but the 2.5L gives me more tq.

If we built our heads our numbers would be better.

I have zero ability to do that. You get what you pay for. I've been hooked up by Ed on numerous occasions when he has sourced parts for me and gone above and beyond but I dunno if hook up prices exist in todays world.

the turbos were different and the 2.5L was more for a tq gain not a HP difference. on top of that lo was saying his car would be around 330 with his setup way before he tuned. so you cant compare apple to oranges ya know...

well work/money for the same power output....im sure krang's bolt ons were eaiser/cheaper to do than lorenzo's. building the motor required his block being removed...that itself is alot of work for most people.

FWIW my car built by EQ on a hybrid 2.0 heads on a 2.5 block just broke 300whp on an 18G on pump gas

the difference is realiabilty. how long will the stock block last? no matter who your tuner is they can help make it religable but not bullet proof! if any tuner was ever to tell you that they can make you car so it dont blow up is BS and you would be a fool to listen to them...... thats why building is the better way to go. its "less likely" to have things go wrong under extreme conditions.

yes this is true...But what you don't understand is if we were racing my tq would be crazy. 2.5L block adds more tq and not so much Hp.

Not bashing on Krang- but he has 274 tq and I have 331 tq....331tq FTW
Just saying

Both Chads cars needs different parts to get over 300. He knows his **** about cars. but he doesn't part all his money into his Cars.

His Black WRX needs injectors, his Silver WRX need a bigger TMIC.

How much power are you pushing? You never post anything up about your car?

in his defence his tune is what i feel is holding him back. he ran out of fuel in his car. (i dont think that should be the reson knowing his mods) and the same tuner ran out of fuel on my friends 35R with a 1000cc injection and built block along with a twin pump sysem, FPR and only making 430whp. those #'s were hella wack. 2 cars that shouldnt have run out of fuel did so i think his car could push more with a more reliable tuner. and no AMS didnt tune the 2 cars i'm talking about.
