Going Bigger Turbo....Any Suggestions?

Below is my last Dyno....

AMS Tune 06-11-2010...
I Had BOV problems that got resolved...
My Stock BOV was leaking. I grabbed a HKS Aftermarket one and got the Power I wanted.
Engine
• FP HTA68 w/ SS Oil Line
• DW 750 injectors
• PnP and Ceramic Coated TGV Deletes
• 6.5mm Phenolic Spacers
• PnP and Ceramic Coated Intake Manifold
• PnP and Ceramic Coated Grimmspeed Exhaust Manifold
• PnP and Ceramic Coated Throttle Body
• 38mm Grimmspeed EWG Kit
• Grimmspeed EBCS
• EJ257 Block w/JE Pistons
• EJ20 Heads Match Ported to the EJ25 Block
• 255 Walboro Fuel Pump
• Turbo XS Front Mount Intercooler
• P&L Motorsports Intake
• HKS Bov V1
• Mishimoto Radiator
• Helix High-Flow Cat Downpipe
• Espiler JGT500 Exhaust
• Perrin Crank Pulley
• Perrin Turbo Inlet
• SGMotorsports AOS
• 160 degree Crucial Thermostat
• V2 Accessport

Top Pull is with the HKS BOV 324awhp/331tq, Bottom Pull is with the Stock BOV Leak 290awhp/295tq. But now I feel like a ricer with the PSSH

Another thing to keep in mind is that I want to stay Stock Location.
I don't want to do all that Rotated stuff.

I want more power...but I need the power to hold to Redline. What Turbo is out there? Looking to hit 360awhp-375awhp on Pump. We don't have E85 here in Hawaii.

Hear alot about the New Blouch 20g-XT. I am just for more ideas.
Thanks for your help.

If I ever realize my dream of having a ej207 a 8cm^2 TD05 20g-xt will be on it. There are a bunch of comparison dynos done on nabisco if you care to research it more. Or, slightly more pricey but more badass.... Stock Location TS TD-05 20g-xt. Maybe since u have the 257 better to go with td06...

Yeah, the only thing is didn't like on a graph i saw was is that the 20g-XT was losing power. It start heading down in hp instead of going up on higher RPM's.

Try that exoticspeed 20g on ebay.
It's ball bearing. match port everything properly, throw in some stock sti cams and with your grimspeed boost solonoid and external wastgate you shouldnt drop off up top.

And if you like it, I'm buying one. haha

there is always the FP green, the gt3071, and gt3076. but remember...you're still running stock rods/bearings. stop at 380 whp or 380torque. better safe than sorry.

I knew this was going to happen...haha. We should have went ahead and sleeved it with forged rods and race bearings.

If a rod goes, you have to buy a new block, crankshaft, rods, pistons, bearings, oil cooler, oil pump, gaskets, and possibly a head.

I am stopping after this turbo install...
As for the STI Cams, that's the next project. only thing is I am going to do everything I need. 5 Angle Job and CC match. Upgraded Springs and Retainers, Valves and STI cams.
Thats going to be my Head Build.
But who knows when that is going to be.

The 20g-xt plots that drop off are not running ewg. IMO, after having one for over a year on both my 16g and 7cm^2 td-05 20g, it is absolutely my favorite mod. Rock solid boost pressure is highly under rated. Also, the ewg will shine even more on the 2.5L since you are moving more air, thus more exhaust, and thus need to wastegate more to maintain boost. IWG's still work well, but EWG takes any restriction out of the equation.

Also, is your tune very conservative? With pistons and the hta68 I would expect more than 328whp. I made 324whp or thereabouts on my 110k stock 2.0L and 20g.

Our setups are fairly similar aside from the displacement and that I have gruppe-s uel headers.

After looking at your mod list again I'm going to say it's our stock 2.0l heads restricting power. It's really the only point I can find we have in common that would create a restriction limiting the #'s.

Very true...Let throw some STI cams in there and that will set it off.

Chris told me Cams wake up the engine!

very true but i swear you also said that this turbo is at its effecintcy level about about 330ahp...... lots of turbos out there can push out more power but is it usable power? no..... perfect exaple is FP reds they can go to 450+ on pump gas (for evo's) but there efficent level is 380-410ish so you want a turbo the you can get the best out of its efficent level

PS I cant spell so i know i spelt efficent wrong lots of times!! hahahahaha
