GC trans fit in a 1993 legacy

I was woundering if a gc trans would fit in a 1993 legacy because my friend was just going to give his legacy away and i can get a trans for cheap the car drives but dosent always reverse

But make sure its awd bet its front only

Yeah I'm 95 percent sure the leggy is front drive
