Question Gauge problem, please help

So I go and install my boost, egt, and oil pressure gauges. I decided to splice all the harnessess to the stock clock.

At first, I have power in all the wires from the clock's bat, grnd., light, and acc. After installing the gauges, I don't have power in the bat. and acc, but I have power from the light.

My gauges and radio light up when I turn on my parking lights. My odometer resets when I turn off the ignition off. My interior lights won't light up and other than the light on my radio, it doesn't have power.

Could I have blown a fuse?

Also, I am missing the harness for the egt gauge. The gauge is Omori and I am pissed that I am missing the friggin harness. Does anyone know how much a replacement harness would cost?

Thanks in advance!

How did you wire it to the clock?

I'm assuming you did the following:

Gauge power -> acc power on the clock wires

Gauge lights -> illumination on the clock wires

Gauge ground (2 ea) -> ground on the clock wires or any grounding point

taped up constant (bat) power from the clock?

Fuses would be the first place I'd check..

Don't know what an Omori wiring harness cost but you may want to check out J-Spec Tunning as they are Omori dealers. Which cable are you missing?

I did the following, except connect the 2 ground wires with the bat.

Is that what you did? Wire the ground and bat. together?

The Omori gauges are brand new, I'm hoping that I left the wire at home or that my friend that borrowed my gauges, has them somewhere.

The wire that I'm missing is the wire that connects directly to the gauge.

Thanks Tim!

Nope, I didn't use bat and simply taped it off so it wouldn't short out on anything. Sorry if you mis-understood. Sounds like you wired yours up the same as me.

Okay, so you are missing the one that comes out of the gauge and branches to the power and sending unit connection.

Time to dive into fuses. Based on your other failures that sounds like it may be the problem. I had no problems with running the 3 gauges off that power source.

Shouldn't be a problem running

any number of gauges from the same power source. It all winds up at the same place eventually. Chibby, I have a Fluke meter here at the house. Call if you need a hand.

if it is a blown fuse, im 99% sure it's a blue 15 amp, and it's under the hood, by the washer bottle.

I had a stray wire behind my radio, and it everytime I moved something around back there, my interior lights, trip, key fob, and what ever else electrical, would be off.

And that fuse was always blown. Check that out as well.

Thanks guys! It was the little blue 15 fuse that blew.

And I found the egt harness stuffed in another box.
