I just called them up, the 100oct at the 76 station is $9.75 a Gallon.
Ron's sells C16 for $118 for 5 gallons. So that equals to about $23.60 a Gallon for C16....

Bigger price difference than I originaly thought....
I just filled up 4 gallons on an empty tank with 100, my car is very happy right now. Too bad I can fill up my entire tank for half of what 4 gallons of this stuff cost me though =/

I'm going to try it out as well. Very cool... didn't know it existed out here. I miss Texas 94oct at every pump, and VA's 93.

I'm a new Rep and still learning about this product, but my uncle's best friend uses it on his BMW 7 series in California and he says it works w/no problems. My aunt and uncle uses it on their daily drivers up there and they love the money savings from it. Its a new product produced in Cali, a solution to put into your gas about an ounce per 15 gallons of fill up. It increases your fuel economy 15%-20%, and reduces tailpipe emissions up to 30%. It's a "Green" product, and I've seen somewhere that it even increases HP. Check out the site, and if you want to purchase a 32oz bottle, PM me. Not saying to put it into our subies just yet, cuz I haven't done enough research for our cars involving the turbo and all, but for our other cars/DD, this could save some $$ and eliminate our tailpipe polution.
Shaun,
According to hypermilers on boards i frequent, it's not work the extra it costs in gains. But I've never tried it, and would love to hear from someone in hawaii with first hand experience. If you need help with calculations, let me know.

For the subies, i use shell exclusively.

Do you have a super secret alternate source for 100 octane?

Doesn't really matter though, no way in hell I could afford to run it daily. Il just stick with 92, I would get a tune for 100 if I could switch maps somehow but no dice with opensource.

Just get a water/meth kit like the one from Devil's own ( http://www.alcohol-injection.com/ ). It's like running race gas all the time and way cheaper.

oh no, I was referring to tuning on the fly.

and yes I know it's expensive, i'd save it for a dyno day for showboating or something, haha.

but anyway, my last chevron 92 octane fillup got me some pinging up top at 18psi. I filled it up with Shell V-Power yesterday on the same settings and the pinging went away. is Shell that much better?

just curious...with all the water/meth kits out there...It would be interesting to hear what tuners think of what brand/kit to get...seeing that they probably see it all with everyones bolt on parts...

I would love to do a meth kit, but I have nowhere to put a tank. Also, even with failsafes all it takes is one pull without the meth spraying and your motor goes boom.

Something I have definately considered doing in the future though, but probably with a progressive system of some sort and EM that can control it, like Hydra.
