Fun stuff in Vegas?

Hey guys. Wifey and I are going to Vegas in the ending part of next month. What do you guys like to do when you're up there? Any nice restaurants you always visit? Amusement parks? Night Clubs? Just looking to see what other folks do when they go there. The unfortunate part is that we're only there for 4 days.

I think we're staying at the Orleans ( a little off the strip ). We're also getting a rental car also, so we can actually do some driving too. Any good shows you guys can recommend? We've already seen Blue Man Group and the Lance Burton magic show...both of which were pretty good. I also think my wife has already seen O. In nay case.....fire away!

Night Clubs: Body English-(hard rock cafe), Ghost Bar, Rain (if still open, inside the palms) LAX-you'll have to search, i know it's good. That's all me and my wife know of. Those shows are the only ones i've seen. If you walk the strip, you'll have reps from clubs throw flyers at you. ALOT of them. I'm sure there's an amusement park, but that's not why we go. A casino is a casino though. Hard Rock is a good all a round place for everything.

Never been to Hard Rock before. We may need to check it out. I'm thinking we may try and check out a show when we're there. Anybody got any favorites they can recommend?

Ahhhhh, I used to cook for a living, so I enjoy a nice meal. Plus, the restaurants in Vegas are top notch and the ones here in Hawaii don't really compare. From the food, the ambience, the decor, service. It's nice to see what some of the chefs are doing now days. SeaBlue in MGM was awesome....one of the best meals I've ever had. We also had a great time at Nove Italiano in the Palms Hotel. We actually got engaged in Vegas last year at the Eifel Tower in the Paris Hotel. We later had dinner that night a n9ne Steakhouse and it was unbelievable. Thanks for the tip on the shows.....any others?

Haha, we also seen this spot on Food Network for a place called the "Four Kegs". It's supposed to have a pretty killer Calzone, so we're going to try and hit that place up too. I'm a sucka for seeing stuff on TV.

Well if you haven't tried IN N OUT burger, you may want to. I usually get my burger animal style, but not the fries. It's like a secret codeword that only the hip kids know, but now everybody knows it. Everything is made fresh, you know a chef to a chef, i wouldn't lie to you, B.

And my gaming fix at the tables of course.

Yup, thanks for reminding me. I tried In-N-Out the last time we were in Vegas. The burgers were good, but yeah, I don't like the fries. I think we also liked Fatburger too. Got to hit up at least one of those places while we're there.

if you get tired of the hustle and bustle of the strip, you can always have a great getaway:
*Mt. Charleston which is about 30 minutes drive - snowboarding, hiking, or just enjoy the views.
*Red Rock Canyons - also about 30 minutes drive from the strip - excellent views and hiking
Not sure if nature is your thing though....

There's a club package you can get at the airport that's pretty good. It's 120 and has vip tickets to pretty much all the clubs in vegas. It's in this pink dvd like box. The catch is, the vip cards on some of the popular clubs are for off days like sunday or thursday etc. For example body english was sunday only in the package, but when i went there on sunday, it was still full of ppl so it didn't matter. Plus each club's cover is like 30, so 4 club's cover charge are easily more than that, plus you get to go in the vip line and dont have to tip the bouncer. Just an idea.

I'd also recommend pure at wynn

We checked out Red Rock the last year when we were in Vegas......Red Rock Casino that is! Not really much of a nature boy, but I personally wouldn't mind going skiing, but don't think Leila wants to. I wanted to check out T-Bones Chophouse......heard some pretty good things about that restaurant.

yo I know you are going with the wifey, but you shoud, head over to The Gun Store (http://www.thegunstorelasvegas.com/). Its an indoor range where you can fire real firearms ranging from an UZI, to an AK-47, to a revolver! Sounds pretty crazy but cmon, its Vegas!!! I have never been myself, but The Woody Show on Live 105 went an took some video footage, you can see it here:

http://www.live105.com/pages/1143680.php

Pretty crazy stuff! other than that, only been to vegas once since being 21, so clubs like Tao, Pure, and LAX seem to be the hottest. Also, the Wynn has an exotic car dealership that might be worth checking out...Have fun!
