lol... yes it does have to do with your car being auto and you always being on the gas peddle... you will hear it if you release the gas peddle after building boost pressure but what's the point of that just to make noise? Most people get bov's because they figure they have a turbo car but that's not always the reason for them. depending on your reason for getting a bov will determine if it was a good reason or be put in the same category as RICE.

there are logical reason for having them on your car and also why I HAD one on my car when it was an auto but that's no longer and I've since removed the bov and went back to stock

before buying things it's recommended to research a product and find out if it's right for your application.

If you have it set to 50/50 then you will probably not hear it as much as you would hear it being 100% atmospheric but then again that's obvious right? if it's not obvious then you should really learn more about the things you're buying.

I only got the BOV cause it was cheap and I was guessing my stocker was leaking. After I did my stage II with a pro tune. About 2 months in I noticed it wasnt holding boost when I hooked up my AP2. Id get it up to high boost and it just drops.

Im am running it a 50/50 and I knew it want going to be that loud. I just want to make sure that it is actually realeasing the pressure like its supposed to. I know it wasnt a "needed" part but sadly Im a AVO *****. I love their parts.

 

how do you know your boost wasn't holding? Stage 2 has more boost than stock but the stock BYPASS VALVE (not BOV) is recirculating and can hold a lot more pressure than most think.

you should start another thread instead posting in this meet thread and hopefully we can pin point where the trouble is coming from.

i doubt it's your stock recirculation valve unless you didn't have a hose connected to the recirculation side of the valve.

if boost just drops you'll need to specify more exactly and how.

 

1. not hearing it is normal. i have a 100% recirc and i don't hear mine at all.
2. the boost is suposed to taper off. it's to keep you from making a bomb out of you block.
