What benefit would an aftermarket one provide for the average stage 4? Mightn't it cure my a) aftershift knock? b) 'below half tank' knock? Might it facillitate if I hook'd up the dinitrogen monoxide?

Hey also, while I'm at it. Anyone want to post their feelings about completely removing the subframe?

No serious.

The 22b has no subframe, right?

Yeah, the big, heavy U.

Thinking about doing

the same thing. I read it weighs 30lbs at least.

We have retained the u-brace on the car. It ties the lower pickup points of the front suspension together and ties into the unibody as well.

This may sound silly, but in drag racing, would a front sway bar have any affect, positive or negative on anything?

Removing the front sway bar usually allows for better weight distribution planting more of the weight of the car on the rear tires during launch. Real helpful in RWD situations, but probably not very effective in an AWD vehicle like ours. Couldn't hurt to try though. If anything you'd save a pound or two...

ahhh, ok I was just wondering cuz I got the stock one back in the front. Since I hardly try anything different, I was curious as to how I was getting those 60ft's.

I know very unrelated, but I'd like to know what contributed to it. Maybe they prepped the track

I figured that if in addition to taking out the front seat, back seat, spare, front swaybar, and subframe might equal 100lbs.

You know what's frustrating? I have every Corky Bell book and some others. YOU CAN'T LEARN ABOUT FORCED INDUCTION AND N2O BY READING BOOKS! That guy is a scientist.
