FINALLY!!! Underseat Sub....
So, about a year ago I was excited about a 10" underseat sub that I was having made for me locally...yeah...a year later...I was still without it...
Long story short...the guy that I commisioned to build this sub for me ended up closing his shop and freelanced his skills around the town's car audio shops...no shop, no tools...no sub...grrrr....he did make a fiberglass mold of my car floor...but that is all that I saw of this project...lots of stories...no action...
So I finally ended up ordering the Raamaudio fiberglass enclosure that fits under the passenger front seat...it came with a 10" ARC sub.
I haven't had time to do anything due to my kids activities...so this weekend I plan on wiring and installing it...I'll have pics after the install and more of a review at that time as well...

Review...
So I decided to install the sub last night...the whole process took maybe 30 minutes.
I removed the backseat, frontseat, and plastic side moldings...ran the wire, placed the sub (fit like a glove!) then put everything back...
Rick at Raamaudio really did a great job in designing and fabricating this sub.
Fitment and finish is excellent. The bottom of the sub is covered with a foam type of material...while the upper half is covered in black speaker carpeting...the whole box is "SOLID"...the tolerance between the seat and sub is very tight...that is definitely the size limit for the box...
Sound-wise...there is nothing like moving the low frequencies up front...although I would prefer the sub be placed squarely between the seats like I did with my Toyota Tundra for symmetry reasons...for it to be under the passenger seat is fine...my ears can detect where the sub is though...
Being up front also meant readjusting my amp parameters...I reduced the gain and bass eq on my amp by at least a half...I'm sure my amp is happy about that...the sub sounds clean and believe it or not...vibration free...amazing...
I haven't had the opportunity to thump it hard, but that wasn't my intention when I purchased this sub...I just wanted some nice, clean, full-range quality sounds in my car...and most of all, to regain full functionality of my trunk space!
I took some pics of the sub mounted...I'll post those up tonight...overall, I give this sub an A!

So far so good...for it's size there is some remarkable, clear bass...
no vibrations from the box...it's solid...I need to dynamat the doors now...should be a big improvement then...
It's amazing to have the sub up front again...it brings the whole soundstage up...the doors do vibrate a bit though...again, the dynamat solution should take care of this...

I'll try and take some pictures tonight...
Hey Blake...
The clearance is really tight...After I installed the seat...I looked under as I moved it back and forth...the box size is definitely maxed out to use every little bit of space...

That would never fit in my ride due to the "low altitude" Bride seats. Besides, I like having the option of removing my subs for track duty (without removing my front seat). I'd also have to wonder how much serious bass you'll achieve with such a small enclosure and very limited excursion. Just my opinion. On the positive side it is low center of gravity weight and on the passenger side. Every cloud has a silver lining. Ain't hating, just stating.
